Escoffier Celebrates Record-Breaking Number of Graduates at 2024 Commencement

Chef-in-Residence Kristen Kish Inspires Graduates at 2024 Escoffier Commencement

Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts celebrated a milestone with 4,092 graduates completing both online and campus-based programs in 2024. The diverse group of graduates, aged 18 to 73, came from all 50 U.S. states and international locations including Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Germany, and the Philippines. As the largest culinary school brand* in the U.S., Escoffier continues to shape the future of the culinary and hospitality industries.

Chef-in-Residence Kristen Kish, a culinary school graduate, award-winning chef, entrepreneur, author, and Emmy-nominated TV host, delivered the commencement address at both the Boulder campus and the online ceremony. In her speech, she shared wisdom from her own culinary journey, urging graduates to embrace their uniqueness and curiosity.

"Find your own voice, stay true to yourself, and build a community that inspires you to grow," said Kish. "With these ingredients, you’ll have your own version of success, and your impact will always align with your intention."

Escoffier CEO Jack Larson commended the graduates for their commitment and achievements.

"This historic achievement highlights the dedication of Escoffier's students as they prepare to make meaningful contributions to the culinary and hospitality industries," said Larson. "We celebrate their talent, perseverance, and passion as they embark on their professional journeys."

Graduates earned degrees and diplomas in programs such as Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, Plant-Based Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Restaurant Operations Management, Food and Beverage Operations, and Holistic Nutrition and Wellness. Many also completed diploma programs in Pastry Arts, Plant-Based Cuisine, and Holistic Nutrition and Wellness.

Escoffier's alumni network now exceeds 22,700 members, many of whom have gone on to work in Michelin-starred restaurants, with James Beard Award-winning chefs, and in top hotels, resorts, and their own businesses.
