Tripadvisor Unveils 2025's Must-See Destinations: Top Picks from Global Travelers
London Tops Global List as Tripadvisor Reveals 2025's Must-Visit Destinations, Plus U.S. Favorites for Food, Culture, and Solo Travel
Tripadvisor®, the world's leading travel guidance platform, today announced its first Travelers' Choice® Awards category for 2025: Best of the Best Destinations. This annual list is based on millions of reviews shared by travelers worldwide, highlighting the most trusted recommendations and helping future explorers plan their next adventure. The 2025 Travelers' Choice Awards include seven categories: Top Destinations, Trending Destinations, Culture Destinations, Food Destinations, Honeymoon Destinations, and two new subcategories: Solo Travel Destinations and a special 25th Anniversary category honoring the Top Destinations of the Last 25 Years based on all-time reviews.
Kristen Dalton, President of Tripadvisor, commented, "Over the past 25 years, Tripadvisor has become the world's go-to platform for travel guidance, with insights from real travelers worldwide. Our Travelers' Choice Awards celebrate the destinations that have earned the highest ratings and reviews, showcasing everything that makes them special, from restaurants and hotels to local experiences."
London Takes the Crown Globally, While NYC Leads the U.S.
This year, London ascends to the No. 1 spot as the Top Destination in the World, surpassing Dubai, which had held the title since 2022. Known for its rich culinary scene and vibrant arts and heritage, London also ranks second globally in Food Destinations and third in Culture Destinations. Additionally, London tops Tripadvisor's 25th Anniversary list as the top destination from the past 25 years of reviews.
In the U.S., New York City takes the top spot, also excelling in Food Destinations. Other top U.S. destinations include sun-soaked spots like O'ahu and the Florida Keys, bustling cities like Chicago and Las Vegas, and culturally rich locations such as New Orleans and Washington, D.C.

Bali, Indonesia, ranks as the No. 1 Culture Destination, celebrated for its vibrant arts and rich heritage, followed by Hanoi, Vietnam, and London, U.K.
Best Honeymoon Destinations
For couples seeking romance, Mauritius, Bali, and the Maldives top the list of the most romantic honeymoon destinations.

The Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Destinations are based on the quality and quantity of reviews for accommodations, restaurants, and things to do in destinations worldwide, gathered from Tripadvisor between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024.
