China to Levy Anti-Dumping Deposits on Cypermethrin Imports from India

China to Enforce Temporary Anti-Dumping Measures on Cypermethrin Imports from India

China will impose temporary anti-dumping measures on cypermethrin imports from India starting Wednesday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday.

The decision follows a preliminary ruling from an anti-dumping investigation, which found that cypermethrin imports from India were being dumped at unfair prices, causing significant harm to China’s domestic cypermethrin industry.

Importers will now be required to deposit funds with Chinese customs based on dumping margins ranging between 50% and 170%.

Cypermethrin, widely used in agriculture, is an essential component in insecticides for controlling pests in crops such as cotton, fruits, vegetables, tobacco, corn, and flowers.
